European soccer's governing body, UEFA, has announced a significant partnership with ArtMotion. The broadcaster has acquired the rights to the next four seasons of UEFA's top-tier club competitions in both Albania and Kosovo.

ArtMotion will cover the top-tier UEFA Champions League, second-tier Europa League, and third-tier Conference League exclusively in both countries through deals unveiled recently. This agreement spans the 2027-28, 2028-29, 2029-30, and 2030-31 seasons of these club competitions.

In addition to these prestigious tournaments, Kosovo-based ArtMotion is also set to cover the UEFA Super Cup and the UEFA Youth League for those four campaigns. All live action from these events will be aired on Sport 1 – Sport 6 ArtMotion channels.

Sub-licensing rights to Tring

In an interesting development for Albanian sports fans, it is reported that ArtMotion plans to sub-license these rights to pay-TV's Tring. This move follows a pattern established by previous agreements; since 2021, ArtMotion has covered an array of UEFA club competitions in Kosovo with its last renewal extending across the ongoing 2024-27 cycle. Tring currently airs UCL matches in Albania - a deal valued at around $1.4 million across three seasons according to GlobalData Sport.

These deals were initially signed by broadcasters with Team Marketing - UEFA’s previous club competition rights agency partner. However, this upcoming cycle marks a shift as commercial rights are now managed by US agency Relevent Sports which replaced Team Marketing in that position starting from next year (for cycles beginning then).

The first batch of rights between 2027 and 2031 were sold off late November last year targeting five key European markets: the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France.
